Recently, Bhutan celebrated the launch of its inaugural smart bus system in the capital city of Yambu, with notable attendees including the Minister of Industry and Information Technology, alongside leaders from the Ministry of Transportation and City Bus Service.

This groundbreaking smart bus initiative, a collaborative effort between Lenz and City Bus Service, aims to enhance the convenience, efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of local public transportation. 

Equipped with Lenz's comprehensive all-payment swipe card system and intelligent scheduling technology, the system integrates seamlessly with the Gakyid Ride app, allowing passengers to purchase and use citizen cards, senior citizen cards, student cards, and love cards for bus fares, while also providing real-time bus location and arrival information.

Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Lyonpo Karma Donnen Wangdi, emphasized the importance of public trust in government services, particularly in areas such as public transportation, during the launch ceremony of the Intelligent Public Transportation System (IPTS).
